Supporters of Sirende Ward MCA aspirant David Nyongesa Murambi say his development record has positioned him as the frontrunner in the race for the Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat ahead of the next General Election.
Speaking during a meeting in Sirende Ward, the supporters said Murambi’s investments in education, youth empowerment, employment opportunities and community development have earned him widespread public support.
“Murambi’s biggest campaign asset is not political rhetoric but the work he has already done. People can point to projects and opportunities that have changed lives,” one supporter said Job Wafula.
The supporters credited Murambi with mobilizing resources to construct a resource centre at Sirende Comprehensive School and establishing the Sibwani Education Centre before the area benefited from National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) education projects.
They also said he has facilitated TVET admissions for hundreds of trainees through scholarship programmes, secured school placements for students, and helped hundreds of job seekers obtain employment in various National Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
“Many young people have benefited from scholarships and employment opportunities through his efforts. That is why residents believe he has already demonstrated leadership,” Ms Cecilia Wangoi said.
The supporters further pointed to water projects, including one at Kaptien Comprehensive School, as well as youth empowerment and social welfare initiatives, saying the programmes have had a positive impact across the ward.
They argued that Murambi’s development record distinguishes him from other aspirants seeking the Sirende MCA seat.
“When voters compare records, they will be looking at what has been delivered on the ground, not just campaign promises,” Kennedy Nyakangi’ added.
The claims come as political activity gathers pace ahead of the next General Election.⁰0
