Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Dr. Abraham Korir Sing’oei has dismissed speculation that he will contest an elective seat in Trans Nzoia in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during the commissioning of newly built classrooms in Kwanza Constituency, Dr. Sing’oei instead urged residents to support President William Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid.
“Many people have been asking me which political seat I intend to contest. At the moment, I am not seeking any elective position. Instead, I urge you to continue supporting President Dr. William Samoei Ruto so that he can continue serving the country in future terms. Let us remain united in ensuring that Dr. William Samoei Ruto continues to lead as President,” said Dr. Sing’oei.
The Principal Secretary commissioned classrooms at Siambe Primary School in Keiyo Ward, Kobos Primary School, and Mama Sisilia Educational Centre in Kapomboi Ward. The projects aim to improve learning conditions and expand access to quality education.
Addressing pupils, teachers, and parents at Siambe Primary School, Dr. Sing’oei said the government will continue investing in education to give every child a better future.
“Education remains one of the biggest investments we can make as a country. We will continue improving school infrastructure and supporting institutions with the resources they need so that every learner has an opportunity to succeed,” he said.
He also announced government funding for the Maridadi–Kobos Road, saying the project will improve transport, ease access to schools and markets, and stimulate economic growth.
“The Maridadi–Kobos Road will transform this area. Better roads lower transport costs, connect farmers to markets, improve access to schools and health facilities, and attract new investment,” he said.
The Principal Secretary also highlighted the government’s youth employment agenda, including the Kazi Majuu programme, which connects skilled Kenyans with overseas job opportunities.
“Our young people have the skills to compete globally. Through stronger bilateral partnerships, we are opening more opportunities for Kenyans to work abroad while also attracting investment that creates jobs here at home,” he said.
At Mama Sisilia Educational Centre, Dr. Abraham Sing’oei, the founder of the institution, said he established the school three and a half years ago to expand access to quality education.
“I established this school because I believe investing in education is investing in the future of our children,” he said.
He disclosed that plans are underway to introduce a tailoring project alongside formal education to make quality uniforms for learners at affordable prices while utilising funds raised for school development.
Residents welcomed the classroom projects and the planned road construction, saying the investments will improve education, strengthen infrastructure, and support economic growth in Kwanza Constituency.
