MP Bisau Pledges Transformative Agenda for Trans-Nzoia County if Elected Governor

Kiminini Member of Parliament Kakai Bisau has promising significant changes to Trans-Nzoia County if elected Governor in the 2027 general elections.

Bisau, who previously vied for the gubernatorial position in 2013 and 2017 before winning the Kiminini parliamentary seat in 2022, said he has all it takes to steer the county socio-economically.

Speaking at a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) consultative forum held at Hill Primary School in Hospital Ward, Bisau outlined a clear vision focused on improving the lives of residents across the county.

Bisau highlighted infrastructure development as a key priority, pledging to upgrade and expand Trans-Nzoia’s road network.

He emphasized that poor roads have hindered trade, access to schools, and emergency services.

“Our county cannot thrive if communities are cut off by bad roads. I will prioritize connecting towns and villages with safe and reliable transport networks, ensuring goods and people move freely across Trans-Nzoia,” Bisau said.

He noted the challenges in public health facilities, including long queues, understaffed hospitals, and drug shortages, which leave many residents without essential treatment.

Bisau pledged to strengthen medical services by equipping hospitals with essential resources, recruiting skilled personnel, and expanding access to underserved areas.

“It is unacceptable that people travel long distances for basic treatment or cannot access essential drugs. I am committed to revolutionizing healthcare so that no one is left behind,” he said.

Trans-Nzoia County, linking it to widespread joblessness and the manipulation of youth for political purposes.

He emphasized that unemployment and politically motivated violence have fueled rising crime rates and pledged to restore safety across the county.

“A community cannot prosper where fear dominates. Joblessness and politically motivated violence have fueled insecurity. I will work with local authorities and residents to ensure our streets are safe and lawlessness is firmly addressed,” Bisau stated.

The forum was attended by prominent leaders, including Trans-Nzoia Woman Representative Lilian Siyoi, Senator Allan Chesang, and former Kiminini MP Dr. Chris Wamalwa, who encouraged residents to support both Bisau’s gubernatorial bid and the re-election of President William Ruto.

“We stand united to ensure Trans-Nzoia moves forward,” Siyoi said, emphasizing the need for leadership focused on service delivery and resident welfare.
