Dr. Wamalwa Takes Aim at Natembeya Over Performance

Trans Nzoia Gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Chris Wamalwa has criticised Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, accusing his administration of slowing development and frustrating key projects in the county.

Speaking during a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) consultative meeting in Chepchoina, Wamalwa claimed Trans Nzoia’s growth momentum has weakened under the governor’s leadership.

“Natembeya has failed to deliver and is opposed to national government development. We must not repeat the mistake of selecting him again,” Wamalwa said.

The former Kiminini MP argued that the county requires focused and results-driven leadership to unlock stalled investments and accelerate service delivery.

Wamalwa made the remarks as he reiterated his bid for the UDA Secretary position, saying he has the organisational capacity and national outlook needed to strengthen the ruling party’s internal structures.

“I am offering myself to serve as UDA Secretary because the party needs experienced hands that can build strong, functional systems from the ground up,” he stated.

He also criticised Ford Kenya, accusing the party of drifting from its founding ideals and failing to effectively champion the interests of Western Kenya residents.

Wamalwa maintained that the region’s political future lies in aligning with development-focused national platforms capable of delivering tangible benefits to the people.

Efforts to obtain a response from Governor Natembeya and Ford Kenya officials were not immediately successful by the time of publication.
