People’s Renaissance Movement Takes Shape as Youth-Driven Political Force

A new political outfit, the People’s Renaissance Movement (PRM), is steadily taking shape in the country, positioning itself as a people-driven platform anchored on socio-economic transformation and inclusive citizenship.

The movement has increasingly drawn the attention of the youthful generation, attracting support from young professionals and grassroots activists inspired by its ideals of a socio-economic revolution aimed at tackling long-standing governance and development challenges.

“We are pleased that there is now a party focused on driving change by holding the government to account and advancing the quest for improved governance in the country,” said Paul Juma, a resident of Trans Nzoia.

PM marked a major constitutional and democratic milestone after receiving its provisional registration certificate on January 15 from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties.

Interim Secretary General Emmanuel Sarabhai called on Kenyans from all walks of life to join the movement and actively participate in shaping its vision.

“I call upon all Kenyans, especially the youth, professionals, workers, women, and citizens of goodwill, to register as members and be part of this renaissance. I invite you to engage peacefully, contribute ideas, and help build a truly national, inclusive, and solutions-oriented movement committed to Kenya’s future,” said Sarabhai.

The registration signals the formal entry of the movement into Kenya’s political landscape as a national outfit grounded in ideas, values, and active citizen participation.

The certificate was issued by the Registrar of Political Parties, J. C. Lorionokou, effectively affirming the movement’s right to organise within the law and take part in Kenya’s democratic process.

According to party officials, the provisional registration marks the start of a new phase of principled engagement in public life, with a focus on peaceful mobilisation, issue-based politics, and citizen-led solutions.

As it builds structures across the country, the People’s Renaissance Movement says it aims to grow into a national force that reflects the aspirations of ordinary Kenyans and promotes a renewed approach to leadership, governance, and development.
