Endebess MP Dr. Robert Pukose has expressed unwavering confidence that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) will secure the majority of elective seats in Trans Nzoia County in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Pukose said UDA’s recent performance in by-elections held across the country is a clear sign of the party’s rising popularity and growing influence across the country.
He said he believes the momentum will continue as UDA strengthens its hold on Trans Nzoia, positioning itself as the dominant political force in the region.
“Those questioning whether the Democratic Action Party (DAP) will win in Trans Nzoia should take a look at our performance in recent elections. Our results clearly show that UDA means business and is gaining ground rapidly,” said Dr. Pukose during a UDA forum..
Dr. Pukose’s comments come after UDA emerged victorious in four significant by-elections, reflecting the party’s expanding support base.
He emphasized that UDA’s vision for the future of Trans Nzoia aligns with the people’s needs, making the party the preferred choice among voters.
Former Kiminini MP Dr. Chris Wamalwa, a former Ford Kenya leader who is now a UDA member, also voiced his support for UDA’s political strength in Trans Nzoia.
Wamalwa, who is eyeing the position of UDA National Secretary-General, recently defected from Ford Kenya to join the ruling party.
“Joining UDA is crucial for our region’s progress. It is essential for us to align ourselves with President William Ruto’s government rather than remain in small, local parties without national influence,” said Dr. Wamalwa.
Dr. Wamalwa’s defection to UDA is seen as a strategic move expected to boost the party’s popularity in the region as it prepares for the general elections.
